Ear Trainer โ what are you hearing?
Listen and answer: a single note, an interval, a chord or a scale. The app plays more often what you miss, so your weak spots get practice.
With a reference you train relative pitch: you hear C (or A) first, then the note. Without one you train perfect pitch.
Press Play (or Space) to hear the first one.
Frequently asked questions
How do I train my ear with this?
Pick an exercise and a level, press Play and answer. Repeat the sound as many times as you need. After answering, tap any other answer to hear it on the same note and compare. A few minutes every day work better than a long session once a week.
Can I learn to identify a single note?
Yes, in Notes. With a reference (you hear C or A first) you train relative pitch, which every musician can develop. Without a reference you train perfect pitch: start with few notes on Easy and add more as you get them right.
Why do some answers come up more often?
The app keeps your accuracy for each answer on this device and asks more often the ones you miss. You can see it under Accuracy by answer, and reset it any time.
How do I recognize intervals faster?
Link each interval to the start of a song you know: a perfect 4th is "Here Comes the Bride", a perfect 5th is "Star Wars". The app shows a song for each interval after you answer.
Is anything recorded or uploaded?
No. The sounds are synthesized in your browser and your results stay on your device.
